What is a "Vajacial"

All the benefits of a traditional facial but specifically designed for your most sensitive areas. The facial for your vulva involves a deep cleansing, exfoliation, ingrown hair extraction (as needed), a mask, steaming, a soothing moisturizer, and a variety of options for your unique needs. The vajacial is recommended for every woman that regularly gets Brazilians or bikini waxes or simply wants to keep their intimate parts neat and tidy.

Frequently asked questions

Please don't hesitate to ask your aesthetician any additional questions not listed below

Vajacial

What are the benefits?

The vajacial is a revitalizing treatment that involves extraction of in-grown hairs, much needed exfoliation and removal of dead skin cells, smoothing bumps around the bikini line, aiding in the prevention of acne, and helping you maintain healthy, hydrated, and even-toned skin. It is also a chance for your aesthetician to check the progress from your wax and make sure you are doing proper maintenance at home.

When should you get a vajacial?

The ideal time is 10 days after a bikini or Brazilian wax. Because your hair is just starting to appear beneath the surface of the skin, ingrown hairs are easier to extract, decreasing the likelihood that you will develop an infection from hair and bacteria trapped under the skin. That doesn't mean that you have to get a vajacial after every wax. However, it is the perfect way to maintain healthy skin and clean up your bikini line.

Is the vajacial safe?

Vulvar skin is thinner and much more sensitive than the skin on our face and shifts with hormonal changes, as well as a variety of other factors. That is why it's so important to make sure this area is carefully and hygenically tended to by a professional with the training and expertise to perform this treatment safely. Vajacial treatments are perfomed by Sonya Scarbrough, a RN ith over 20 years of experience in the medical field.

In 2019 she challenged herself once again, attending a training course through MDPen in Atlanta on MicroNeedling procedures and treatments. More information about MicroNeedling can be found here.

Sonya offers a wide range of services to address your skincare needs, extending the aid of her deep understanding of the skin’s physiology to her clients. She also offers organic sugaring and soy wax hair removal, lash lifting and tinting, organic spray tanning, and body treatments. Her body treatments include the FAR Infrared Sauna Treatment, using medicinal Chinese herbs to exfoliate and detox the body from head to toe; and the Vajacial, a facial for the vulva, to address common issues that women experience in this intimate and sensitive area. In 2018 Sonya was recognized by In Weekly’s “Best of the Coast” in the category of “Best Esthetician”, and once again in 2019.
