Sonya Scarbrough is a Licensed Aesthetician at East Hill Massage and Aesthetics.
Sonya became a Registered Nurse in 1999 and worked in the oncology department for 17 years. After almost two decades of commitment to a physically and emotionally demanding yet rewarding career, she decided to explore the world of organic skincare.
In 2016, she received her training in aesthetics from Pensacola State College. Sonya is passionate about bringing a holistic yet effective approach to aesthetics. She has a desire to use her extensive medical experience to benefit her clients so she began researching progressive techniques in her field. In 2017 she traveled to Atlanta to become certified in dermaplanning, a form of exfoliation preformed with a 5 gauge scalpel, through DermaplanePro.
Sonya offers a wide range of services to address your skincare needs, extending the aid of her deep understanding of the skin’s physiology to her clients. She also offers organic sugaring and soy wax hair removal, lash lifting and tinting, and organic spray tanning. In 2018 she was recognized by In Weekly’s “Best of the Coast” in the category of “Best Esthetician”.
In her free time, Sonya enjoys practicing yoga, traveling, exploring nature in all its beauty, and spending time with her two lovely children.
Michelle Ouellette is a Licensed Massage Therapist at East Hill Massage and Aesthetics.
Michelle graduated from The Pensacola School of Massage Therapy in 2011 and loves learning about the human body. Her passion is helping individuals achieve their athletic or physical goals with techniques that target the specific needs of active individuals. She is an advocate of massage for relieving physical and emotional stress while enhancing overall health and well-being.
To complement her specialization in sports massage, Michelle completed training courses in kinetic taping, full body stretching, and Thai Massage, maximizing the results she can offer her clients. She has worked with the Pensacola Blue Wahoos AA baseball team for 5 years, offering pre-game massages for the players. In 2016 she was recognized by In Weekly’s “Best of the Coast” in the category of “Best Massage Therapist”.
Michelle prefers to use her spare time staying active. She enjoys cycling, kayaking, and playing sports, such as tennis and soccer.
Rae Petersen, owner of East Hill Massage and Aesthetics, is a Licensed Massage Therapist, Oncology Massage Therapist, and Certified Lymphedema Therapist.
She received her training in massage therapy at The Pensacola School of Massage Therapy and Health Careers, graduating in 2008. She quickly fell in love with massage, focusing on providing relief to those suffering from chronic pain and illness. Having several family members and close friends that have journeyed through cancer, she felt passionate about the importance of providing therapy that is helpful for those who are presently or have previously undergone cancer treatment. She recieved her training through Tracy Walton and Associates, LLC in 2015 and is a preferred practioner with The Society for Oncology Massage. Wanting to provide the most comprehensive treatment possible for her oncology patients, Rae traveled to Tampa in April of 2017 for a Complete Lymphedema Certification Course through The Academy of Lymphatic Studies.
Rae is a member of The American Massage Therapy Association, The Florida State Massage Therapy Association, The Society for Oncology Massage, The International Association of Women, and is a volunteer at Covenant Hospice. In 2018 she was recognized by In Weekly’s “Best of the Coast” in the category of “Best Massage Therapist”.
It is Rae's aspiration to use her training and certifications to improve the lives of the people in the community she loves. In so doing she hopes to model for her children (her motivation and cornerstone) the value of service to others and the importance of personally investing in the well-being of those that need what you can give.
